The Cairn Terrier is a cheerful little dog with a vivacious personality. They have a longer lifespan than average and make cute life companions. These small terriers are used as ratters on farms and ranches. If you are familiar with Toto in “The Wizard of Oz,” you will recognize the Cairn Terrier.

Canaan Dogs are born herders. They are confident dogs, from the tips of their perky ears to their curled tails. They are often black and white, with an alert, intelligent expression. They also happen to be the national dog of Israel. Canaan Dogs make good, loyal family pets but can be aloof with strangers.

The Cane Corso is a large dog with an intense reputation. Contrary to what they look like, though, they are quite affectionate. They carry themselves with majesty and can serve a versatile number of purposes. Cane Corsi are often guard dogs and can use their tendencies to be somewhat willful and assertive.

The Cavapoo is a mixed breed, combining the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Poodle. Since Poodles can be bred in multiple different sizes, the Cavapoo can be a variety of heights and weights. They usually have a mix of ginger and cream in their coats. They make excellent family dogs because they are loving and extremely loyal.

These dogs came from ancient lines more than 4,000 years ago. They are highly territorial and can become aggressive if not watched and trained carefully.

The Chamuco is a large dog that looks similar to a Pit Bull. They are not a mixed breed anymore, though. They come from a region in the center of Mexico and were only recently developed in the 1970s. It is unclear whether they were the result of intentional or accidental crossing with the American Pit Bull Terrier, the Mexican Bulldog, and other similar species. The Cheagle is a mixed breed, a cross between the Chihuahua and the Beagle. They are considered a small breed because the Chihuahua is a toy breed and the Beagle is a small to medium breed. 26. Chimatian

The Chimatian is an interesting mixture of the Chihuahua with the Dalmatian. Their size and shape can vary widely because these two parents are shaped and patterned so differently. The Chinese Shar Pei is considered one of the oldest pedigrees in the world. They are a standoffish breed, though loyal to their family. They have a unique look, being large dogs with fur that lies close to their skin and skin rolls all over their body. A real Chinese Shar Pei has a blue-black tongue.

The Chinook is a dog bred by the natives of New Hampshire, the Wonalancet. They are a devoted family dog with a hard work ethic and boundless patience. They are easy to train because they are so eager to please. They are one of the scarcest purebred dogs bred by the AKC.

A Chiweenie is not only an adorable name, but it also represents an adorable dog. They are a hybrid between the Chihuahua and the Dachshund. They are sweet dogs, with a caring nature. They can be vocal and are always on the alert. Chiweenies are loyal dogs and quite protective of their family. Typically, they bond strongly with one person more than all the others. They need plenty of one-on-one time and do not need much exercise.


33. Chorkie

The Chorkie is a mix of a Chihuahua and a Yorkie. They often favor the overall appearance of the Yorkie in terms of coat texture and color. Their size does not vary much because both of these dogs are toy breeds. From both of their parents, they inherit the tendency to be vocal. They are otherwise quite active, with bubbly personalities and just enough intelligence to make them goofy.

The Chug is a mix of the Chihuahua and the Pug. These dogs can have a mixed personality between the two parents. Pugs tend to be much more laidback and easygoing. They are social creatures and love being around people. The traits that they can get from a Chihuahua include more standoffishness with strangers and peevishness. They are almost always loyal and sweet with their family.


37. Chusky

The Chusky is a stunning mix between the level-headed Chow Chow and the playful Siberian Husky. These dogs almost always have an extremely unique appearance. Cock-A-Tzus are a sweet-natured dog that is a combination of the Cocker Spaniel and the Shih Tzu. Depending on which parent they favor, they can be a medium-sized or small breed.
