Australian Slang Dog Names

If you’re unfamiliar with Aussie slang you should bloody well get yourself up to speed. That just means you really should get yourself up to speed. They’ve got plenty of crazy phrases like “six of one, half a dozen of the other” meaning “you’re damned if you do, damned if you don’t,” or, “wrap your laughing gear around that,” which is simply “eat that,” but contrary to popular belief, they don’t say “put another shrimp on the barbie.” They do say barbie, but shrimps are always called prawns down under. The phrases are one thing, but the slang words are a whole other NRL game. We’ve selected our favorites, but we do recommend you get the full John Dory (story) on them before selecting one for your pup.
